Origin Stories

Jonathon Living-STONE Seagull:  400 million years ago, a stone was born from pressure, heat and magma and eroded by wind, water, ice and gravity. This unique stone, not content
to lie quietly on the bottom of a dirty river bed, embraced Jonathan Living-STONE Seagull's ambition to fly.

“How much more there is now to living! Instead of our drab slogging forth and back to the fishing boats, there’s a reason to life! We can lift ourselves out of ignorance, we can find ourselves as creatures of
excellence and intelligence and skill. We can be free! We can learn to fly!”    Fly and be free!

Against all odds, this Living-Stone now flies. On display or held aloft in the hand of homo-sapien, Jonathon breaks the limitations of both his origins and our expectations...can you do the same?

Easter Island Moai : The monolithic Moai statues of Easter Island, represent the spirits of the Rapa Nui ancestors, chiefs, and elites and act as ceremonial conduits for communication with the gods.

Shamanic and pagan cultures use ceremonial objects to ponder deeply religious and
philosophical subjects related to their tribe or society, to achieve a form of enlightenment, to unravel unknown facts and realms of the human mind and subconscious, and also as an aphrodisiac during rituals or orgies.

What will you use it for?

Jumbo Chicken Egg: A beautiful stone pipe, hand held, natural...sun burst pattern incised into the stone.

Intriguing Egg Facts:

  • The entire yolk of an egg is actually only one cell, one of nature's largest!
  • The color of the shell is strictly a function of the breed of the bird.
  • Americans consume an average of 281 eggs per year, which keeps about 285 million hens busy day and night.

Big A$$ Rock (B.A.R.): Weighing in at xx lbs xx oz, this monster is undeniably, a Big A$$ Rock! Legend has it, Atlas tried to hoist this beauty on his shoulders and failed! Then Atlas shrugged it off and picked up the world for a lighter challenge.  Besides providing a beautiful silhouette, B.A.R. doubles as a door stop and in a pinch, can be used to keep your 18 wheeler from rolling away on a steep hill.

Fantasy and Whimsy: Fantasy and whimsy, creativity and nuance. These are the elements that make for a compelling origin story and a beautiful piece of sculpture. Each rock tells a story, beyond geography and geology, and beyond time and space.

Our origin stories, like our sculpted stone, take time to craft and create.Be patient as the artistic process warms bubbles like the magma from whence our stones were formed. Bear with us as we take another day or two to write. After all, what is 2 more days after 400 million years? (Answer for my fellow nerds: 1.36986301x10-11)
